Summary

Lipids are emerging as the last target of post-genome era. Accumulating evidence indicates the importance of lipids in most of the biological phenomena. However, their study has been hampered by the lack of appropriate techniques. Taking advantage of the outstanding scientists working in physics to biology field at RIKEN, we are developing a new and challenging approach to apprehend lipid science through an extensive interdisciplinary collaboration.

Research Subjects

  1. Imaging Lipids
  2. Lipid Functions
  3. Molecular Behavior of Lipids
