Outline
Our center has been established as the core of the Asian Research Network (ARN) for fusion research fields. Our center aims to be a hub for extending the research network over the whole of Asia to promote the fusion of various research fields, through the core Japan-South Korea cooperation based on close collaboration between RIKEN and Hanyang University (HYU). As the first step, we have begun collaborative research with HYU and other Asian organs in the field of fusion-nano, in which nanoscience and nanotechnology are combined with bioengineering, information technology and other research fields. We are also extending our research to establish a novel and unconventional information processing scheme in the post-nano era.

We are aiming at utilization of fluctuation and instability, to realize emergent information processing based on emergent behavior of massively parallel self-organized bio-molecular elements, and to develop unconventional devices with functions activated in dynamic non-equilibrium states.
