Outline

In order to meet the requirements of researchers at RIKEN, our division carries out the following tasks: design and manufacturing of experimental apparatuses; determination of elemental and structural composition of synthesized, natural and biological materials and analyses of their surfaces and interfaces; development of new detecting methods of living cell structures and 4D image processing; and development of ultrahigh-precision/micro fabrication technologies and their application to advanced scientific devices. Research and development of these technologies are achieved by collaborating with universities and industries. Computer programs we have developed are on the download site and anyone can access them freely through the Internet.

The maintenance of scientific devices used by all RIKEN researchers is another of our tasks.
